Rare Breeds Back

How refreshingly to see that rarest of wildlife return to our shores at the ecologically essential watering holes on the seafront. Although typically nervous and a little flighty this photo shows six males and two females back after a hard winter.
Some have mistakenly identified these as Panurus biarmicus, and I briefly thought they might be Otis Tarda but that can't be right. Can any readers correctly identify them?

Arson attack eh? My understanding was that the cause was unknown and as likely to have been an accident as arson.....
